Logan Laplante is impressively articulate at 13. But most of all, he’s right.
Being happy and healthy should be of the most important goals of our lives. And damn right it takes practice. Especially when we’re embedded in a culture that supports these goals so indirectly as to often completely obscure them, in a strange cycle of maintaining elements that should get us there, but rather absorb us in their minutia.
I can’t help but wonder how this education method would teach perseverance, or whether its highly individualized focus could teach important social values like generosity and collaboration. Assuming these are also lessons to be learned, Logan Laplante may be leading a new generation to reconsider priorities. Right on Logan.
