Featured by Shazam is a promotional marketing campaign first launched in 2014. The campaign features one up-and-coming artist every month, using an organized variety of marketing collateral, Shazam video sessions, social media, and a mobile experience. Working with the Product and Marketing teams, I was tasked with creating the brand for the campaign, as well as the design for the mobile experience. The final brand design was chosen to reflect Shazam’s “magic” in helping to discover new music; this was captured through the brand’s use of blue smoke. The treatment is flexible enough to be adapted to different banners as well as video. Featured by Shazam artists that have been part of the campaign include: Kiesza, American Authors, Rixton, Clean Bandit, George Ezra, Nico & Vinz, Jessie J, and more. The campaign has already reached over 600,000 users.
